Carol A. Lawyer, CAC, CCDP, BRI II
As a Certified Addictions Counselor (CAC), Co-Occurring Disorders Professional (CCDP) and Board Registered Interventionist (BRI II), Carol specializes in helping individuals and families to embrace a healing process.
Carol's commitment in the field of addictions sets a precedent in helping individuals move from crisis to opportunity. With more than 19 years of experience both in Private Practice and working in conjunction with facilities who specialize in Addiction Treatment, Carol understands the necessity and immediacy that Addiction Treatment requires. The life gripping circumstances that surround unhealthy lifestyles can be interrupted. Carol is a dynamic Therapist/Interventionist whose commitment and zeal in treating families and individuals with addictions, sets her apart in her field. After completing the Penn State University Addictions Program in l992, Carol received her CAC from the Pennsylvania State Certification Board in 1996. She then went on to become a Certified Co-Occurring Disorders Professional (CCDP) , relating to dual diagnosis, with the State of Pennsylvania in 2004. Continuing to advance in her field, Carol then became a Board Registered Interventionist ( BRI II) with the Association of Intervention Specialists in 2006. In 2007 Carol was elected Vice President of the Board of Directors.
Carol is a member of NAADAC (National Association of Addiction Counselors),
ICRC (International Certification) Pro-Act, and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars from Penn State University. |
